Global Shed tears

In Uncategorized on April 16, 2009 at 6:26 pm

This globe is our home! And we are responsible for its existence, it’s been proven that the leaders we have elected to govern us are incompetent to look after our people’s interest. But have enriched themselves with the hard labour of the people, placing our nation in abject poverty. The cry of multitude is being heard all over the globe in desperation for a celestial miracle that will give a resolution to our economic disaster.
A cry from Ireland posted today in Face book is calling for Election in the republic “We Need an Election!!! Ireland 2009” stating that “Ireland has well and truly going down the toilet since last September, Unemployment is rising, young people are leaving and the standard of living is falling rapidly and approval ratings for our current government have hit an all time low! We have gone from European economic miracle to European basket-case. It’s time for a change!”
A news clip from the On-line News Hour “Latin American Countries Worlds Apart in Economic Downturn” Like the rest of the world, the economic slowdown has not been favourable in Latin America. In general, exports are falling, unemployment is rising and the economic predictions are grim. Regional experts point to Honduras and Brazil as representing two different responses to the economic downturn. In Honduras, where remittances from immigrants living in the United States make up a quarter of the country’s gross domestic product, the situation is more precarious than a larger economy such as Brazil, which is better suited to weather the financial turmoil. Growth there has slowed but remains positive, and a social safety net is in place to buffer the harshest effects of the downturn.
